Removing the Battery Pack from the Battery Bay

CAUTION: If you are removing the battery pack while the computer
is on, you can prevent loss of information by initiating Suspend
before removing the battery pack. Be sure to replace the discharged
battery pack with a charged one within 10 minutes
1 Save your data.
2 If the computer is turned on, press the suspend button. If there
is hard drive or diskette activity, Suspend may not occur
instantly.
The computer screen clears, and the power/suspend light
begins to flash when Suspend has been initiated.
Tilt the computer at an angle 1 and slide the battery release

latch 2 to the right while pulling on the notch under the
battery bay.
