Now secure the two 'L' foot brackets to
the bottom of the vertical side brackets,
making sure that the overall height of
the frame created is 51".
Set this bracket frame up against the
wall, centering it on the fireplace, and
make sure that the horizontal bracket is
level.
It is crucial that the upper horizontal
bracket be securely fixed onto the avail-
able wall studding. Use multiple screws
into the wall studding to attach this
bracket.

It is the steel brackets that securely hold
the mantel to the wall. These must be
firmly installed to insure the mantel is also
securely installed!
Lay out the brackets on the floor in the
position shown, and secure the two side
brackets to the horizontal bracket with the
bolts provided. Make sure that you have a
width of 49" as shown. Insure that this
framing is centered on the fireplace.
Step #4
Secure the two 'L' foot brackets now to
the floor. These now lock the bottom of
the bracket frame into position. When
the brackets are properly positioned and
secured, a sturdy frame is created upon
which the stone mantel may be hung.
NOTE- Failure to insure that these
brackets are firmly secured to the wall
risks that the mantel could fall off the
wall, resulting in serious injury!
