This section explains how to send printer control codes in selected major application programs.
Each example uses the codes in the LQ mode.
WordPerfect 4.2
To enter control codes in WordPerfect 4.2, press CTRL F8 and A, then enter the desired control
codes. Decimal numbers entered must he surrounded by < >. Characters can be typed as usual.

WordPerfect 5.0/5.1
To enter control codes in WordPerfect 5.0/5.1, press SHIFT-F8, followed by 4, 6, 2, and finally
1. Then enter control codes as described in the above examples for version 4.2.
Note
Entered control codes are not displayed on the screen, so they do not affect the
document style on the screen.
Professional Write/PFS: First Choice
Printer control codes are entered right into the document typing area. Each code begins and ends
with an asterisk. The initial asterisk is followed by the world BUBBLE JET, followed by a space,
then the numbers for the control code.

MultiMate Advantage II
To enter printer control codes in MultiMate Advantage II, while holding down the ALT key, type
the character A or a numeric code in the specified sequence. When typing in the numeric codes,
use the numeric keypad (not the number keys located above the characters on the keyboard). The
codes must to be three digits long, so add a leading zero when entering a two-digit number.
