Page 8: Technical Prerequisite For Reliable Operation
Fastening the brake on low vibration stability machine parts will ensure quiet braking without creaking. Leaked oil must be completely removed. Leaks are to be removed immediately! Before mounting onto the brake drum, the brake caliper must be released (opened) and adjusting the distance pad to the brake drum.

If you have no wear at the brake pad after 5 - 7 years working time you also have to replace the brake pads. Because of the brake pad age you will loose brake performance. Only original RINGSPANN brake pads may be used. -
