6 Operating Instructions—IFC-200 Operating Instructions
The first line of the display lists the type of event (trouble) and the type of
device (pull station).
The second line is a 19 character custom descriptor for this device
location.
The third line is the first software zone to which it is assigned (Zone 5),
and the type of trouble that exists (open circuit).
The last line is the time ("A" is AM) and date, plus the point address. The
M37 SLC address means module number 37. If the device in trouble was
a detector at the same address, this field would show D37.
Pressing the ACKNOWLEDGE/STEP key performs a block acknowledge,
causing the piezo to silence and the System Trouble LED to light steadily
regardless of the number of troubles, alarms, and supervisory signals in the
system. When ACKNOWLEDGE/STEP is pressed, and at least one new
alarm or trouble exists in the system, the ACKNOWLEDGE message is
sent to the printer and history file.
If the trouble clears, either before or after ACKNOWLEDGE, a Clear
Trouble message is sent to the printer. For example:
CLR TB PULL STATION WEST HALLWAY FLR 5 Z05 OPEN
CIRCUIT 11:13A 12/25/94 M37
If all troubles clear and there are no supervisory or fire conditions in the
system, the system returns to normal operation status, and the All
Systems Normal message is sent to the LCD display, LCD-80,
history file, and printer. This trouble restore occurs even if the troubles
were never acknowledged (auto restore).
If ALARM SILENCE is pressed when only troubles exist, it will have the
same effect as pressing ACKNOWLEDGE/STEP. The ALARM
SILENCED LED does not illuminate unless there is also an alarm in the
system.
If multiple trouble conditions exist in the system, the LCD and LCD-80
display step through them automatically at a two second rate. If the
ACKNOWLEDGE/STEP key is pressed, the display stops on the present
item for one minute, or until the ACKNOWLEDGE/STEP key is pressed
again. As the ACKNOWLEDGE/STEP key is pressed, the IFC-200
displays events in the following order:
Alarms, in order of address
Supervisory conditions or Security alarms, in order of address
Troubles, in order of address
