A typical Read Status display appears below:

Where:
NORMAL is present status, such as: ALARM, TROUBL, DISABL, etc.
SMOKE(PHOTO) is the device type, such as: SMOKE [ION], PULL
STATION, HORN CIRCUIT (INDICATING APPLIANCE CIRCUIT), etc.
WEST HALLWAY FLOOR 5 is the custom label programmed for this
device.
Z05 Z01 Z15 Z87 Z90 is a list of assigned software zones (if less
than 5 are programmed, some will be blank).
The present reading of the percent per foot of obscuration of light (does
not exist for modules) is 0.15%.
D indicates that drift compensation is enabled.
P indicates that prealarm is enabled.
The alarm threshold selection in percent per foot obscuration (does not
exist for modules) is 3.00%.
V08 indicates that the detector is programmed for alarm verification. The
numeral 8 is a verification tally, and indicates that this device has entered
the verification cycle 8 times since the counter was last cleared.
Note: This field does not exist if this device is a module. If the device is
a control module or indicating appliance (bell) circuit, an "S" or
"W" may appear in this area, indicating that the module is
programmed for Signal Silence or Walk Test activation.
D13 is the point address. "D" indicates Detector and could be "M" for
module, "B" for indicating appliance (bell) circuit, or "Z" for software
Zone.
If the point is not installed, a Read Status command to that point results in
a NOT INSTALLED message on the display.
