5 Insert the thread cassette (with the extra spool
pin attached) into the thread cassette
compartment.

the extra spool pin" (page 24).
Pass both threads through the needle bar
thread hook.
• The needle threader cannot be used. If the
needle threader is used with the twin needle,
the sewing machine may be damaged.
6 Install the twin needle.
• For details, refer to " Replacing the needle"
(page 32).
7 Manually thread the left needle with the
thread for the left side of the stitch.
• For details, refer to " Thread the needle
manually" (page 25).
8 Remove the thread for the right side of the
stitch from the needle bar thread hook, and
then use it to thread the right needle.
9 Attach zigzag foot "J".
• For details on changing the presser foot, refer
to " Replacing the presser foot" (page 35).

0 Turn on the sewing machine, and then select a
stitch.

with the twin needle, refer to " Stitch

• Select a stitch width of 5,0 mm (3/16 inch) or
less.
