3. Every bend or connection in the air hose introduces friction into the air
flow and reduces the air pressure. Create as few bends and connections
as possible.
4. Sketch out the layout with measurements to make sure you have
enough hose length and components to create the system you want.
a. Your installation may not use all the components in this kit.
5. Cut the nylon hose (A) with the tube cutter (F). Take time to make sure
the cuts are straight and even.
6. Insert the hose's cut end firmly into the chosen
fitting. Push the release button (Fig. 2-1) down
and push the hose until it touches the bottom.
Release the button and pull on the tubing to
confirm it is firmly seated.
a. Remove the connection by pushing the
release button and pulling the hose out.
Turn off the air supply and drain air from
the air delivery system first.
7. Install an air valve (J) between the compressor and the first junction. This
will allow you to cut air flow to the air delivery system if necessary.
a. You may want to install individual shut-off valves (not included) on
the separate lines to better control the airflow to individual tools.
8. Mount each aluminum block (B) as the terminal point of each tool
station (screws not included). This is where the tool will connect to the
air system. Insert the hose into the block as in step 6.
9. Install the correct connector fitting for your tool into the aluminum
block's port.
10. Slip plastic tube clamps (C) onto the hose and screw the clamps to the
walls, ceiling or surfaces. Use enough clamps to prevent each hose
section from sagging.
11. Test the entire system at low pressure and check for leaks. If there are
leaks, check the following:
a. Check that the hose end cut is clean and flat.
b. Make sure the hose if fully seated.
c. Make sure the release button is not pressed down.
d. Replace the component and recheck if needed.
