9.0) LIGHTING AND SHUTDOWN INSTRUCTIONS
DIRECT SPARK IGNITION SYSTEM
1. Turn on the gas and electrical supply. Press the switch to the "ON" position.
2. Set the thermostat to call for heat.
3. Ignition should occur immediately.
4. If ignition fails, the unit will spark for approximately 10 seconds and will attempt two
(2) additional trials of ignition before going into safety lockout. Turn the thermostat (or
power) off for 60 seconds to take the system out of lockout.
5. If the heater does not light, shut off the gas completely for 5 minutes before attempting
to relight.
6. To shut down the heater, press the switch to the "OFF" position. Turn off the gas and
electrical supply.
