ENGLISH
For the alarm relay system, a multi-
conductor sheathed cable with a rated
voltage of at least 300/500 V must be
used, such as H05... or equivalent; per-
missible wire size 0.5 - 1.5 mm². To en-
sure that the strain-relief clamp func-
tions properly, the diameter of the cable
must lie between 6.5 and 8.0 mm.
The length of the free conductors (un-
sheathed length) should be kept as
short as possible (no longer than 15
mm).
Feed the cable through the strain-relief
clamp to terminals 40-41-42 and fix it
using the cable tie that can be found
below the terminals on the control unit
transformer. The plastic strain-relief
clamp is mounted on the metal strain-
relief grip for the mains cable (see illus-
tration).
When connecting the conductors, make
sure that they are fixed securely in the
screw terminals.
The connection cable is fed out of the
housing of the condensate pump such
that it runs parallel to the mains cable.
The recess in the upper part of the
housing must be enlarged to accommo-
date it, using a round file, for example.

INSTALLATION

The following points must be observed
when choosing a suitable location for
installing the pump:
∙ The condensate must flow into the
condensate pump from the vapour
trap using gravity.
∙ The louvres on the K2 for ventilating
the pump must not be obstructed.
∙ The connecting piping must be laid in
such a way that there are no kinks in
the piping.
∙ The condensate which flows out of
the overflow connection must be
able to run off using gravity.
∙ The K2 must be readily accessible to
allow maintenance.

Pump
The condensate pump can be either
floor-standing or wall-mounted.
If wall-mounted, the distance between
drill-holes must be 19.5 cm. Please use
the enclosed screws. It is easy to level
off the pump using the grid pattern on
the back of the pump.
ATTENTION! The pump must be in-
stalled in an absolutely horizontal posi-
tion as shown in the example.
Inlet
Only approved materials may be used.
The inlet pipe from the boiler or refrig-
erator/air conditioning must be laid
in such a way that the condensate can
flow into the pump from the vapour trap
using gravity. To avoid obstructions,
the inlet pipe must be cut off obliquely.
Preferably, the left-hand inlets with silt
traps should be used. To prevent ex-
haust gases from entering, a vapour
trap must be fitted in all inlets, if this
is not already fitted or integrated in the
boiler or appliance.
The connection of safety modules is not
permissible.
Overflow
The overflow connection is designed
for systematically draining off conden-
sates in the event of a breakdown of the
pump, or of the boiler or refrigerator/air
conditioning.
ATTENTION! When using the overflow
connection, it must be ensured that the
condensate can drain off using gravity
and that the pipe is completely emptied.
Pressure pipe
ATTENTION! When fixing the pipe to the
pressure outlet do not use grease or
pipe clips.
The pipe must be laid from the con-
densate pump to the wastewater pipe.
The DN 50 connection piece supplied
facilitates the connection. The smallest
admissible radius when laying the pipe
is 60 mm.
It would be advantageous if the pipe
outlet was located at approximately the
same height as the pump. This would
considerably enhance the pumping per-
formance, avoid deposits in the pump
and extend the life of the pump as a re-
sult.
Take the pressure pipe up vertically
to the highest possible point and then
route it to the discharge point with a
slight downward gradient.
ATTENTION! The pressure pipe, from
its highest point, must be able to com-
pletely discharge its contents. The de-
livery height to be bridged is increased if
there are pockets of air in the pipe
ATTENTION! If the condensate pump is
installed below the back-up level and
the discharge point is located on a was-
tewater pipe which is below the back-up
level and is not protected against back-
up then the pressure pipe must be laid
with a loop located above the back-up
level. The connection to the wastewater
pipe must be pressure-tight.
