IV. FITTING OF TELESCOPIC SECTION AND
DRUM
1. slide the halyard swivel (Rep. 11) in position if
you did not already done it.
2. use a halyard attached to the swivel to hoist the
system as far up the forestay as possible.
3. slide the feeder onto the forestay (Rep. 9).
4. insert the telescopic section into the bottom
section.
5. pass through the drum the forestay terminal.
FITTING OF THE DRUM UNIT
In case of eye terminal + link plates:
- insert the two link plates into the bottom part of the drum.
- fasten the set (link plates + eye terminal) with the pin (Rep. 13) and two nylon
bushings.
In case of turnbuckle terminal:
- assemble the link plates of the "FACNOR turnbuckle kit"
to the bottom of the drum (annexe).
- fix the link plates to the drum with the two provided
screws.
- fix the link plates to the turnbuckle with the provided
pin.
For the both cases:
6. now place one bearing (Rep. 6) around forestay
and push it down into the drum.
7. insert bottom of telescopic section (Rep. 9)
into top drum, hold firmly together and tighten
Allen screw (Rep. 14) with Allen key provided.
