5. DIAGNOSTIC TEST OPERATION
5.4.5.2 LAN Test
In this test, the programmed MAC address is read out and the PING test is performed. Prior to performing this
test, LAN address setting should be performed. For procedures, please refer to Section 5.4.9.2 LAN Setting.
(1) Operation procedure
Reading the MAC address
1. Select the LAN Test(2) button on the I/O Communication Test Menu screen.
2. Click the Read MAC Address(1) button to perform reading the MAC address. Then, the MAC address
will be displayed.
PING test
1. Select the LAN Test(2) button on the I/O Communication Test Menu screen.
2. Set "Send IP Address", "PING Count", and "Send Data Length" in the following way.
Move the cursor to a column, then click on it. Type in numeric values from the keyboard.
For the Send IP Address, it is also selectable from the drop-down list box which is displayed by clicking
the
button. The selected address is set as the Send IP Address automatically.
3. Click the PING TEST(2) button.
During the PING test, the PING TEST(2) button is altered to the PING END button. Furthermore, the
Read MAC Address(1) button and the END(.) button become unavailable.
4. By clicking the PING END button, the PING test is terminated. Then, the Read MAC Address(1)
button and the END(.) button are restored to.
5. Click the END(.) button to terminate the LAN test. At this time, OK is displayed when the test resulted in
good, whereas NG is displayed when the test resulted in not good once or more.
