» All the settings have been factory-adjusted to their best points. If by any chance out of spec or after replacement
of relevant parts, take the following adjustment procedures.
» The HD signal is of 1035I for the Japanese market.
» Unless otherwise specified, the 75% color bar signal is used for the Video, S, Component, and 480P adjust-
ments.

Adjusting conditions
1. Turn on the power (lamp
on) and warm up the unit for
15 minutes.

Adjusting procedure
Make the following settings:
» Press SW2001 to call the process mode. Execute
the S2 command on the SSS menu.
» Make sure all the data but those of the up con-
verter are initialized.
» Keep the input mode fixed at COMPONENT-1.
» Connect the oscilloscope to TP4027 (G signal).
Using the [\ |] buttons on the remote controller,
adjust the brightness so that the sync signal peak
disappears.
» Make sure the CONT setting of VIDEO-1 is 7.
Using the [\ |] buttons on the remote controller,
adjust each color level to 0.7±0.05 Vp-p at each of
the following test points.
TP4027: G-DRV
TP4028: B-DRV
TP4029: R-DRV
» Connect the oscilloscope to TP4029 (R signal).
Using the [\ |] buttons on the remote controller,
adjust the setting so that the white and red bars
are at the same level.
