    LC-R60HDU RESETTING THE LAMP TIMER AFTER LAMP REPLACEMENT When the lamp has been replaced, reset the lamp timer in the procedure below to have the lamp-on hours displayed correctly. This model has two lamps in it. Reset the timer of the lamp that has been replaced.

    LC-R60HDU REPLACING THE OPTICAL MECHANISM UNIT 1. Removing the optical mechanism unit 1-1. Remove the 12 rear cover lock screws, 8 terminal panel lock screws and 3 power PWB unit lock screws. Detach the rear cover. 1-2. Remove the 2 vent fan assembly lock screws and detach the vent fan assembly.

Removing the optical mechanism unit" - with the γ data flash memory (IC1018) of a replacement optical mechanism unit. Be careful not to confuse the IC’s orientation.

Keep the projection lens focus intact in its initial condition. » Feed the crosshatch pattern signal and get the green and other to-be-adjusted color only displayed.

  • Page 22 LC-R60HDU Replacing the LCD » Choose a dust-free workshop to replace the LCD. (1) Disconnect the LCD flat cable from the output PWB connector. (2) Take out the output PWB and the top shield. (3) Loosen the lock screws "d" and detach the lock plate.
  • Page 23 LC-R60HDU Adjusting the mirror optical axis This adjustment is intended to correct possible shading in the R, G or B color. It is necessary to readjust the optical axis when any optical part in the mechanism has been replaced. Procedure 1.

Preparations (equipment connections and standard adjustment) (1) Connect the specific cable between the personal computer’s RGB output terminal and the LA connector on the output PWB. (2) Have the property dialog box on the computer screen. Call the VGA mode (640 x 480), True Color mode (24 bits) and LCD+CRT mode (simultaneous display) and get the adjustment program (60HD_RS.exe) started.
  • Page 26 LC-R60HDU (4) Turn on the projector power and make sure that the image on the computer screen shows up on the projector screen. There is no problem if the image is not clear. (5) Select RESET in the picture status.
  • Page 27 LC-R60HDU 3. Adjusting the chromaticity (white-to-white voltage) (1) Attach the CL100 measuring probe at the center of the screen (using mild-adhesive tape or the like). (2) Get the adjustment program started. Select [Measure (M)] first and then White Balance (W) (on Screen 1).

(30) The ratio of this measurement to the 93% white-adjusted illuminance will be automatically calculated. (31) If the illuminance ratio is way out of spec (below 70%), readjust the chromaticity as in Step 26 again.

(2) Feed the 100% level signal. (3) Select [Measure (M)] first and then Adjust (A). Adjust the voltage to 0.7 Vp-p for each color.
