5. MEDIA TRANSFER & GPS LOG PLAYBACK
5.1 Connecting to a Computer
Connect your dashcam to a computer with the included USB cable.
NOTE: When connecting your dashcam to a PC, you must insert the USB cable directly into
the dashcam's USB port on its body, not into the dashcam's mount.
After connecting the USB cable directly to your dashcam and your computer, your dashcam
will automatically power on and present you with 3 options on the LCD screen as explained
below. Use the Up, Down and OK keys to navigate to your selected preference.
MSDC – Mass storage mode for downloading your video and photo files
PCam – PC camera mode for using your dashcam as a PC camera
DV – Dashcam mode
When MDSC mode is selected, your camcorder acts like a memory card reader and all of
your videos and photos stored on your dashcam memory card can easily be accessed. On a
Windows PC, go to Start (or File Explorer)
This PC
and find Removable Disk. Your
media will be stored in 3 folders on this drive. Video files will be located in the Videos Folder,
photos in the Photos Folder and locked videos in the Locked Videos Folder.
5.2 Playing Back Video Files with GPS Log
Special software is required for playing back videos files along with a GPS log. Please visit
our website at
www.minoltadigital.com
for the latest version of software available for your PC
for playing back video files with your GPS log.
To play back your video files without a GPS log, the recommended software is VLC Player,
available for free download at www.videolan.org.
