Forward-facing Child seat (convertible seat)

Adjust the seats as follows:

3-door models

Fold the seatback forward and

then back to the 1st lock posi-

tion (most upright position) until

it locks into place. Adjust the

seatback to the 5th lock posi-

tion. (P. 220)

5th lock position

5-door models

Fold the seatback forward.

Then return the seatback and

secure it at the first lock posi-

tion (most upright position).

Place the child restraint sys-

tem on the seat facing the

front of the vehicle.

Run the seat belt through the

child restraint system and

insert the plate into the

buckle. Make sure that the

belt is not twisted. Keep the

lap portion of the belt tight.
