Stowing the flat/spare tire, jack and tools
 Vehicles with back door mounted spare tire
Install the tire and loosely

tighten each nut by hand to
approximately
amount.
Firmly tighten each nut two or

three times in the order shown
in the illustration.
Tightening torque:
60 N•m (6.0 kgf•m, 44 ft•lbf)
Tighten the spare tire lock nut first.
Lock the spare tire lock system

Spare tire lock nut.

Insert the key and cylinder.

Remove the key while hold-

ing the cylinder in place.
Check that the cylinder is locked
securely.
Vehicles with the spare tire

cover: Install the spare tire
cover in the reverse order of
removal.
Tightening torque:
14 N•m (1.4 kgf•m, 10 ft•lbf)
Stow the tools and jack securely, and replace all covers.
