Battery (battery-operated thermostat only)

Changing the batteries
If you have opted for a wireless control, the battery
status of the individual room units is displayed in the
app. If the service life of the batteries comes to an end,
this will be displayed so that you can change the
batteries. Please use two batteries type AAA 1.5 V
Micro LR03. Rechargeable batteries may not be used.
If you have a mixed system, you will see a mains plug
instead of a battery.
Replace the batteries if the fault message "low
battery" is displayed.
To do so, open the housing of the NEA SMART 2.0
Room unit (see Fig. 8-1) with a screwdriver (recom-
mended width: 5 mm).

Remove the batteries from the compartment and
insert new batteries (AAA). Ensure correct polarity!
See imprint on the circuit board.

Afterwards, close the lid again.

Depending on the installation location and the use of
the room units, a battery change of the wireless room
unit is necessary approximately every 2 years.
An indication for the upcoming battery change is
shown on the display of the room unit as well as in the
app (symbol).
