Adjusting the needle and rotary hook timing

Press the power switch (1) to turn on the power.

Set both the zigzag width and the zigzag base line
position to "0".

Remove the presser foot (2), needle plate (3),
auxiliary needle plate (4), feed dog (5) and spacer
(6).

Turn the machine pulley to raise the needle bar (7)
from its lowest position until the reference line on
the thread takeup (8) is aligned with the Ø mark on
the face plate, and then check the following.
• The tip of the rotary hook (9) should be aligned
with the center of the needle.
• The distance from the tip of the rotary hook (9)
to the needle should be 0 to 0.05 mm.

If the above are not correct, loosen the two screws
(10) and adjust the position of the rotary hook (11).

After adjustment, securely tighten the two screws
(10).

Set the zigzag width to the maximum setting (8
mm).

Turn the machine pulley so that the tip of the rotary
hook (9) is aligned with the center of the needle
when the needle is at ts furthest left position.
Check that the distance from the upper edge of the
needle hole to the tip of the rotary hook (9) is 0.2 to
0.5 mm..
