Belt Adjustment

During the first weeks of use, the running belt tension might need to be readjusted. All running belts are properly
set at the factory. However, after use, the belt may stretch or be off-center.

How do I prevent a belt from slipping?

If the running belt feels as though it is slipping or hesitating while running, the tension on the running belt may
have to be increased.
1.
Place 6mm wrench on the left belt tension bolt. Turn the wrench clockwise 1/4 turn (90 degrees) to
increase the belt tension.
2.
Repeat STEP 1 for the right belt tension bolt. Be sure to run both bolts the same number of turns, so the
rear roller will stay square relative to the frame.
3.
Repeat STEP 1 and STEP 2 until the slipping is eliminated.
Note: Be careful not to tighten the running belt too much as you can create excessive pressure on the
front and rear roller bearings. An excessively tightened running belt may damage the roller
bearings that would result in bearing noise from the front and rear rollers. To decrease the tension
on the running belt, turn both bolts counter clockwise at the same number of turns.
