FUEL SYSTEM
1. AIR CLEANER/CARBURETOR
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
Before removal, completely drain the carburetor
Be sure the engine is cooled to room temperature before removing the carburetor. This is necessary to ensure the
thermowax fully retracts.
Be sure to install all gaskets exactly as shown. Otherwise, the gaskets may not align with the intake port.
THERMOWAX
Replace the thermowax
assembly if removed.

Apply Hondabond HT to the
back and sides (as shown),
and press the thermowax
into the cylinder.
BREATHER TUBE
INSTALLATION:
Insert into the breather
hole in the top crankcase
cover. Be sure it is
properly seated in the
hole. If not connected
properly, dirt ingestion
and engine damage will
occur.
AIR CLEANER CASE
INSTALLATION:
Before installation, clean
inside the case with
compressed air.

GOVERNOR ROD, THROTTLE RETURN SPRING
INSTALLATION:
Hook the governor rod in the
larger hole in the carburetor
throttle valve.
Hook the throttle return spring
in the smaller hole in the
carburetor throttle valve.
