Adjusting the water hardness

Hard water will cause calcification within the
dishwasher. Also, more dishwasher detergent
will be required to clean the dishes. Soft water
increases foaming. For this reason, the de-
gree of hardness of the water has to be deter-
mined and adjusted even before the first use.
You can determine the water hardness from
your water bill or enquire about the degree of
hardness at the water supply company. The ap-
pliance is factory-set to the

Test run

It is recommended that you carry out a test
run before the first dishwasher cycle in order
to remove residues from the manufacturing
process and in order to ensure that the appli-
ance functions perfectly.
If no water escapes during the test run and if
there are no unusual noises, the appliance is
ready to use.
Carry out this test run when the dishwasher is
empty and without any dishwasher detergent.
See chapter „Dishwasher operation" on page
EN-22 for instructions.
