    KNOW YOUR ZERO TURN MOWER CONTROL PANEL Left control panel ( with operator seated ) (See Figure 2.) • Storage area: Two storage areas offer a convenient place to store your cell phone or MP3 player. • USB port: The USB charging port provides charging power of 5 Volts DC at up to 2 amps for your cell phone, MP3 player, or other USB devices.

Levers are used to steer, accelerate, decelerate, stop, and change direction.

    OPERATING YOUR ZERO TURN MOWER STARTING YOUR MOWER • With key inserted, turn master power ignition switch on by rotating key clockwise to the ON position. • Check for the appropriate speed mode by pressing drive speed control button to “low speed” position. NOTE: It is always recommended to start out in low mode/slow speed.

    OPERATING YOUR ZERO TURN MOWER For an emergency stop, there are two methods that can be used: • When traveling forward or in reverse, place the steering control levers in the park brake position immediately. When moving in the rearward direction, push forward gently on steering control levers and avoid sudden movement.

    OPERATING YOUR ZERO TURN MOWER SEAT ADJUSTMENT (See Figure 10.) W A R N I N G Make sure seat pan is securely bolted down prior to each use to prevent seat from moving/tilting in the event of mower tipping or rollover. The seat can be adjusted forward and rearward by moving the latch under the seat.

    OPERATING YOUR ZERO TURN MOWER SLOPE OPERATION REMINDER: Only operate on slopes of 15 degrees or less. Slopes are a major factor in loss-of-control and tip-over accidents, which can result in severe injury or death. All slopes require extra caution. If you cannot back up the slope or if you feel uneasy on it, do not mow it.
  • Page 21 OPERATING YOUR ZERO TURN MOWER Another consideration is to always mow a safe distance (minimum of 10 feet/3 meters) away from drop-offs, retaining walls, drainage ditches, embankments, water, and other types of hazards to avoid a wheel dropping over the edge or to avoid the ground from breaking away and always be aware of what is located at the bottom of the slope.

    FAULT CODE Most faults are quickly corrected by noting what caused the issue, restarting the machine (cycle keyswitch/ignition [KSI]) and changing how the operator uses the machine.     MAINTENANCE REGULAR MAINTENANCE Regular maintenance is the best prevention for costly downtime or expensive, premature repair. The following pages contain suggested maintenance information and schedules which the operator should follow on a routine basis. For more detailed information, order the correct parts manual for your unit. Remain alert for unusual noises, as they could be signaling a problem.

W A R N I N G It is not recommended to use compressed dry air as cleaning method of the charger. If cleaning with compressed air is the only method available, always wear safety goggles or safety glasses with side shields.

    TROUBLESHOOTING Deck System Resistance Test Procedure Make sure your Digital Multimeter is capable of measuring up to 1.2 million ohms(Ω) resistance before beginning these steps. Refer to your Digital Multimeter Owner's Manual for correct dial settings. Always disconnect the batteries before performing any maintenance or repair.
