6.2

Addressing

The following addressing rules to manually address a
participant in a PROFIBUS line apply:
Proceed as follows to manually address the LP04 PROFIBUS DP.
O
Check which PROFIBUS addresses are already assigned in
the PROFIBUS line.
– Double assignment of PROFIBUS addresses is not
permitted.
– The order of the participants in the PROFIBUS line is
independent of the addressing order.
– The address "0 or 1" is not permitted.
The PROFIBUS address rotary switch is labeled according to a
decimal system.
6.3

Configuration

The bus coupler is configured via hardware to a data length of
4 byte plus 1 byte diagnostic. The type file RXP_076B.GSD is
within the scope of delivery or can be ordered separately
(code no. 5460469412). This file must be copied into the same
directory or user area in which the COM software is installed.
For configuration of the station, the bus coupler type "VS LP04"
should be chosen in the menu (family/valves/Aventics).
6.4

Baud rates

The transfer rates can be adjusted at the master (PLC) and will
be recognized by the slave (bus coupler) automatically. There
are 9 different transfer rates possible: 9,6 / 19,2 / 93,75 /
187,5 / 500 / 1500 / 3000 / 6000 / 12000 kBaud.
