Fuel Pump—Turbocharged Engine
Removal and Installation
See Figure 3-33.
1. Park the mower safely. (See "Park Mower Safely" on
page 1-7.)
2. Disconnect the battery negative (–) cables at the
battery.

3. Cut cable tie (1).
4. Disconnect wiring connector (2) from harness.
5. Place a suitable container under the fuel pump (3).
6. Loosen hose clamp (4), and disconnect hose (5)
from fuel pump.
7. Loosen hose clamp (6), and disconnect hose (7)
from fuel pump.
NOTE
Record the orientation of the fuel pump before removing
to ensure correct installation.
8. Remove two lock nuts (8), screws (9), and four flat
washers (10).
9. Remove fuel pump (3).
Installation Note
Install the fuel pump by reversing the order of removal.

1. Park the mower safely. (See "Park Mower Safely" on
page 1-7.)
2. Disconnect the battery negative (–) cables at the
battery.

Label all wires before disconnecting to ensure correct
installation.
3. Disconnect wiring connector (1) from engine
temperature switch (2).

4. Remove screw (3), and disconnect wire (5) from oil
pressure switch (4).
5. Remove alternator assembly. (See "Alternator" on
page 4-74.)
