ENGINE
8. Press in on the tabs (12) on both sides of the throttle
cable anchor block, and pull block out of throttle
control lever assembly (13).
9. Angle the throttle cable (5) up, and disconnect the
end of the cable from throttle control lever assembly
(13).
NOTE
Perform steps 10 and 11 if replacing the throttle control
lever assembly.

10. Remove (unscrew) knob (14) from throttle control
lever assembly (13).
11. Remove two lock nuts (15), flat washers (16), and
screws (17), and remove throttle control lever
assembly (13) from instrument panel (11).
Installation Notes
• Install the throttle control lever assembly/throttle
cable by reversing the order of removal.
• Be sure not to stretch or kink throttle cable during
installation.
• Operate throttle lever to ensure proper operation and
full range of motion.

Removal and Installation
See Figure 3-32.
1. Park the mower safely. (See "Park Mower Safely" on
page 1-7.)
2. Disconnect the battery negative (–) cables at the
battery.
3. Remove air cleaner assembly. (See "Air Cleaner
Assembly" on page 3-8.)

4. Cut cable tie (1).
5. Disconnect wiring connector (2) from harness.
6. Place a suitable container under the fuel pump (3).
7. Loosen hose clamp (4), and disconnect hose (5)
from fuel pump (3).
8. Loosen hose clamp (6), and disconnect hose (7)
from fuel pump.
NOTE
Record the orientation of the fuel pump before removing
to ensure correct installation.
9. Remove two lock nuts (8), flat washers (9), and
screws (10).
10. Remove fuel pump (3).
Installation Note
Install the fuel pump by reversing the order of removal.
