When I take the BP on my dog, it just keeps going and never gives a pressure. Cuff is on properly, is the right size and air plug is in securely. What **** I doing or not doing correctly?

Several factors could prevent the CONTEC08A-VET from providing a blood pressure reading on your dog despite proper cuff placement and secure connections:
1. Animal Condition: The device should not be used on animals with damaged skin, sickle-cell disease, or thrombasthemia without clinical evaluation. 2. Incorrect Cuff Size or Pressure: Ensure that the correct cuff size is used and that it is not overinflated, as this may prevent accurate readings. 3. Movement or Stress: If the animal is moving or stressed, it can interfere with measurements. Keep the animal calm and still. 4. Device Lifespan: If the device has exceeded its five-year useful life, it may no longer function properly. 5. Environmental Factors: Ensure the device is not used in conditions with flammable anesthetic gases or if liquid has entered the device. 6. Software or Connection Issues: If using the USB interface to transfer data, check the related software for proper operation.
If issues persist, consult the manual for troubleshooting or contact the service department.
