Notes on Mattress Heater Settings

Notes on settings assume use of the mattress heater
without any additional radiant heat source.
For information on use of the Babytherm 8000 WB in the
presence of radiant heater systems, see pages 26 ff.
WARNING !
Patient Temperature Monitoring
Check the baby´s core temperature at regular
intervals and adjust temperature setting to
individual patient needs.
Always cover patients, and/or dress them.
WARNING !
Do not obstruct conductive heat transfer by
blankets or other insulating covers placed
underneath the patient,
To achieve a neutral balance (heat neither added nor
dissipated):
set temperature to 37 °C.
To add heat:
set temperature to, e. g., 38.5 °C.
