Installation Before working on combine or under header always: 1. Perform all combine and header manufacturer safety precautions for servicing header. 2. Insert stop to prevent movement of header. 3. Turn off combine and remove key from ignition. 4. Set combine parking brake. 5.
Mounting Sensors 1. Mount sensors facing forward in mounting brackets using one flange bolt at rear marked A and carriage bolt and flange nut at front marked B. 2. Install guards to each sensor assembly at location marked C. 3. Determine sensor mounting locations. Sensors should be mounted equally spaced across head mounting near end of head as far as possible.
Routing Sensor Wiring Properly routing the wiring is the most critical part of the installation process. Please take time to ensure that you have allowed sufficient slack for motion as well as sufficient clearance from moving header parts or crop flow. Harness Length Table 1.
30"-40" Inner Rows 1. Remove black WeatherPack connectors from end of harness as shown above • Be sure to note wire locations 2. Route the appropriate harness up through hole at back of each row unit and pull enough slack to reach sensor. 3.

7. Fasten wiring with clamp and screw at location A. Using clamp and existing hardware fasten at location B. 8. Continue routing wiring harness back to the rear of head. Fasten harness with small clamp and screw. Be sure to leave enough slack to allow snout to pivot. 9.

11. Route harness away from drive shaft and fasten with zip ties in place following hydraulic hoses or frame tube to left side of feederhouse. 12. Route wiring extension harness through hole in frame to back side of head continuing to follow hydraulic hoses. 13.
20"-22" Inner Rows 1. Remove snout. 2. Place wire guard in front of hinge bracket. 3. Mark and drill 2 holes with 13/64 drill bit. • Before drilling check under header to make sure you will not damage anything underneath 4.

12. Carefully route harness starting from sensor and working toward back of snout. • Place connector with clip facing up toward snout and install clamp on both sides • Make sure to leave adequate slack at the snout pivot point 13.
Outer Rows (if equipped) 1. Fasten sensor wiring close to sensor with small clamp and screw. 2. Position sensor connector with latch facing up against poly. Fasten harness connection with small clamp and screw on each side of connector. 3. Fasten wiring with clamp and screw at location A. Using clamp and existing hardware fasten at location B.

4. Fasten harness at marked locations with small clamps and screws. Be sure to leave enough slack in harness at pivot point of snout between clamps. 5. Fasten harness at marked locations with small clamps and screws. 6. Route harness over end divider mounting bracket. 7.
8. Route through hole in frame to back side of head continuing to follow hydraulic hoses. 9. Route to the left side of the feederhouse opening. All Folding Heads 1. In general, follow the instructions for a similar rigid head given above, except as noted below: 2.
5. Connect black wire (ground) to the two Geringhoff blue wires. 6. Leave the brown wire disconnected (for use with stubble lights on supported combines). 7. Connect Y112 to Y111 on the Headsight header harness or Lexion adapter Patriot Only 1.
Install Horizon or Insight Controller 1. Connect Horizon or Insight box to main Headsight harness. 2. If your Insight kit contains optional bracket HT3114 • Bolt the bracket to the back of Insight • Install the Bracket on a M 12 bolt thru the vertical frame •...
Sensor Adjustment Insert header stop to prevent movement. Changing Swing 1. Loosen the bolt A holding downstop. 2. Slide the downstop to new position in slotted hole. • Raising downstop will increase voltage swing and allow higher maximum cutting height •...
Sensor Extensions Headsight recommends using the lowest setting that allows you to run as high as you desire. Increasing the length of the extension will reduce header control sensitivity. 1. Remove flange lock nut then remove arm and spring. 2. Install extension to sensor assembly with previously removed spring and flange locknut.
