6.6.2 To install a new engine
1. Remove the defective engine. Refer to
and install the engine on page 13 .
2. Remove the oil drain hose from the defective
engine. Do not discard the oil drain hose.
3. Remove the top clutch from the defective engine. Do
not discard the top clutch.
4. Remove the engine holders from the defective
engine. Do not discard the engine holders.

5. Unlock the engine plate from the guard for the fan.
Do 1 of these procedures:
To remove
a) If it is locked with rivets, remove the rivets with a
b) If it is locked with spring pins, remove the spring
6. Use a long screwdriver to disconnect the main
switch on the new engine. The main switch is behind
the fuel tank.
