CASING REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Remove the front cover (page 10-3).
NUT (8 mm)

15 N·m (1.5 kgf·m, 11 lbf·ft)
WT40XK3:
NUT (8 mm) (4)
15 N·m (1.5 kgf·m, 11 lbf·ft)
MECHANICAL SEAL
REMOVAL:
To remove, pry the edge of the mechanical
seal with a small screwdriver taking care
not to damage the casing.
INSTALLATION:
Before installing, clean the installation
surfaces of the impeller and casing.
Apply petroleum jelly around the
mechanical seal and carefully install it into
the impeller and casing.
Do not damage the mechanical seal.

SHIMS
INSTALLATION:
Apply petroleum jelly and
place in the impeller.
Then, install the impeller
on the shaft.
HOSE COUPLING PACKING
(Commercially available)
CHECK:
Replace if necessary.

20 N·m (2.0 kgf·m, 14 lbf·ft)
WT40XK3: (8 x 50 mm) (4)
22 N·m (2.2 kgf·m, 16 lbf·ft)
IMPELLER
REMOVAL:
Remove the impeller (1) by giving it a shock
using a wooden stick (2) and hammer as
shown, taking care not to damage the impeller.

INSTALLATION:
Tighten the impeller by hand.
The impeller will further self-tighten when the
pump is used.
