Construction Elastomer Bearing BB 350 / 500 kg
A complete elastomer bearing unit consists of basic order-components base plate with
overload protection, load cell, oscillation housing and elastomer bearing.
The base plate (1) is bolted to the foundation with four bolts. The load cell (3) is fastened
to the base plate with two Allen Screws (5) and the spacer bar (2). The oscillation housing
(9) is put in the load cell (3) and is secured with a retaining ring (8). The elastomer
bearing (12) is seated with the oscillation bolts as force transmission mechanism (11) in
the oscillation housing (9) and is bolted to the load platform. The elastomer bearing (12),
and therefore the load platform as well, is centered with the force transmission
mechanism (11). Transverse movement of the load platform is permitted to a certain
degree. A flat seal (10) between the elastomer bearing (12) and the oscillation housing
(9) protect the force transmission mechanism from any contamination.
The measurement path of the load cell (3) is limited by the adjustable overload security
mechanism (7). This protects from accidental damage caused by overloading.
The elastomer bearing is a rubber-metal combination made of neoprene and stainless
steel.
