Displaying the Position Information

You can choose the way to display the position informa-
tion from three types; numerical, compass, and numeri-
cal with GPS status.
Notes:
 You may change the unit of displayed measurements
via the SETUP mode.
 You may set the time area and offset via the SETUP
mode.
 The position information will be displayed with
the screen type you have selected last time before
switching the operation mode or turning off the ra-
dio.
Numerical display
1. Press the [ MENU ] key to display the MENU screen.
2. S e l e c t " G P S " o n t h e
screen by pressing the
[ ◄ ] or [ ► ] key, and
then press the [ ENT ]
key.

3. Select "GPS INFO" on
the screen by pressing
the [ ◄ ] or [ ► ] key, and
then press the [ ENT ]
key.
The latitude and lon-
gitude of your current
position, COG (course
o v e r g r o u n d ) , S O G
(speed over ground),
altitude, and the date
will be displayed below
the VOL meter on the
screen.
Note:
The power save operation of the GPS unit is disabled
while displaying the position information.
