7.1.4 Fireplace cleaning
Remove the refractories hearth (fig. 7.5):
Use an ash cleaner to clean the fumes passage
including the two lower compartments (fig. 7.6).
Repeat the above procedure in reverse to restore
the refractories hearth.
Check that they are properly seated.
7.1.5 Cleaning the glass
Clean the glass with a damp cloth or paper with ash on
it (fig. 7.7).
Rub until clean.
Do not clean the glass while the stove is running and do
not use abrasive pads.
7.2 SPECIAL MAINTENANCE
The stove may only be maintained by an authorised
technical service centre.
Prior to effecting any maintenance operation, adopt
the following precautions:
1. Make sure that the stove is completely cold.
2. Make sure that the ashes have gone out completely.
3. Use the personal protective equipment specified in
Directive 89/391/EEC.
4. Make sure the mains power is off at the master
power switch.
5. Ensure that
restored accidentally. Remove the power plug from
the socket.
6. Always use proper tools.
7. Once maintenance
completed, reinstall all the protections and reactivate
all the safety devices prior to restarting the system.
