6.3.1 Installation of a room temperature probe
The probe must be inserted near the lateral or
frontal air ventilation openings on the base of the
cladding.
Stick the probe support near the air vents (Fig.
6.3.6).
6.4 HOT AIR DELIVERY CONNECTION
Only for the ducted version.
6.4.1 Protection hood connections for heating one
room
Take the flexible pipe by the ends and extend it,
rotating it at the same time (Fig. 6.4.0).
Cut it to the desired length (not more than 200 cm)
and install the vents at the desired locations.
Attach the pipe (1) to the collars (3) with the clamps
(2) (Fig. 6.4.1).
Insulate the pipes with rock wool.
Fix the vents on the hood or wall at a height of at
least 1,8÷2,0 m from the ground to prevent hot air
from blowing on people.
It is not advisable to run ducts for over 7÷8 m.
6.4.2 Duct connections for heating several rooms
To heat several rooms it is possible to install
metal air distribution ducts in accordance with the
following outline:
-
flexible aluminium pipe - max. length 7÷8 m per
duct
-
smooth metal pipe or duct - up to 12 m length
for a one-way duct, 8÷9 m for a two-way duct.
Install one air outlet in the room where the fireplace
is installed; the second duct may be used to convey
hot air to the other rooms in the house.
Alternatively, connect the hot air delivery by means
of a flexible pipe to the entrance of the distribution
channels.
The air distribution ducts must have an internal
crosssection of 20×20 cm, they must be constructed
in smooth galvanised sheet metal and insulated
with a 30 mm sheet of rockwool as a protection
from noise and heat dispersion.
(Fig. 6.4.2: A-Two-way duct, Fig.6.4.3 B One- way
duct).
When the fireplace is used to heat 2 or more
adjacent rooms, it is very important to promote air
circulation from one room to the other in order to
obtain an even temperature. To this aim, kindly fit
air grilles on the doors or leave them ajar.
