Export Programs
The export function allows the user to save programs to a USB drive. Place a USB drive in the port at
the rear of the stainer. Select Export. The programs will be copied to the flash drive. The instrument
beeps every 3 seconds during the transfer.

When export has completed, press STOP to exit the utility. Remove the USB drive from the port.
The file on the USB drive is an ASCII (text) file named OLD_PROG.RSF. This file contains all 15
programs (even if programs are empty).
If programs are exported to a USB drive and then the same drive is used again for export, the old
program OLD_PROG.RSF should be deleted off the drive first. Otherwise, the program files keep
appending to the end of the original file.
Import Programs
To import program files to the Compass Stainer, the name of the file on the USB must be changed to
NEW_PROG.RSF.
Place the USB drive in the port on the rear of the instrument. Select Import. The programs will be
copied from the flash drive. The instrument beeps every 3 seconds during the transfer.
File export complete. Press STOP to exit.
