Replace/add the power adapter card

The power adapter card is located in the PCI slot 0 in the workstation.
Prerequisites
Refer to the section
power adapter card in the PCI-E slot 0.
1. Shut down the workstation.
2. Disconnect power from the workstation and disconnect the attached cables.
3. Remove the workstation from furniture.
4. Access the inside of the electronics enclosure.
5. Disconnect cables from the card being replaced.
WARNING
Do not damage the EMI gasket fingers while removing/installing boards.
CAUTION
Use a grounding strap and grounded work surfaces and equipment when handling any
electrostatically sensitive components such as the video cards, NIC adapter cards, and SCSI
controller cards. Store and transport parts only in electrostatically safe containers.
To replace/add the power adapter card
1. Remove the cables from the power adapter card.
2. Remove the side cover of the workstation.
3. Lift the card retention arm to access the board as illustrated in the following.
4. While wearing a grounded ESD wrist strap, remove the existing power adapter card in the PCIe slot
0.
Remove the board assembly from the PCIe slot 0 as illustrated in the following.

Do not mix flat panel displays and CRTs is a multi-screen configuration on a single
platform.
