FortiGate-7000F System Management Module

System event log (SEL)

The SMC in each FIM and FPM generates system event log (SEL) messages that record system events as they occur.
All SEL messages are stored by individual FIM and FPM SMCs. They are also all collected and stored by the SMM S MC.
From the SMM y ou can use the following commands from the active or passive SMM t o view and clear SEL messages.
Operation
Display the local SEL for a
module.
Clear the local SEL.
Get SEL information.
Get SEL time
Set SEL time

Sensor data record (SDR)

The sensor data record (SDR) contains static information about the sensors in all parts of the chassis including the FIMs
and FPMs. Information includes the Sensor ID string, sensor type, sensor event/reading type, entity ID, entity instance,
sensor unit, reading linearization parameters, sensor thresholds, and so on. The following commands display
information stored in the SDR.
Operation
Display current local sensor
values and sensor SDRs or sensor
thresholds for a module. Available
on the passive module.
Set Sensor thresholds
