4.7 Checking the Status of the FC Host Port

This section describes how to check the FC host port through the ISM.

Procedure
Step 1 Log in to the ISM.
Step 2 In the navigation tree, choose the storage device where the FC host port needs to be checked.
Step 3 You can go to the FC Host Port Management dialog box by any one of the following
approaches:

Step 4 The parameters of viewing the information about an iSCSI host port are described, as shown in
Table
Issue 01 (2009-09-27)
Description
The parameter indicates the running status of the iSCSI host port. The status
can be Online or Offline.
The parameter indicates the data transmission rate, and the unit is Gbit/s.
If the running status of the iSCSI host port is Offline, ensure that the network cable is
inserted into the network port.
If the health status of the iSCSI host port is Unknown, remove and insert the network cable
and check the status again.
If a new alarm related to the iSCSI host port is displayed on the alarm interface, click the
alarm and remove the fault according to the troubleshooting suggestions under the alarm.
No new alarms related to the FC host port are displayed on the alarm interface.
The health status of the FC host port is Normal and the running status is Online.
On the menu bar, choose Configuration > FC Host Port Management.
On the toolbar, click the
Right-click the mouse. On the displayed shortcut menu, choose FC Host Port
Management.
