4. TRANSPORT AND STORAGE

DANGER!
DANGER!
Larger sine tables are always delivered with lifting lugs. These have to be screwed into the lifting threads in the
base plate.
Fig. 11: Lifting the sine tables
Always consider the total weight when selecting the load attachment gear. If required, use edge protectors.
Never transport magnetic chucks with magnetic lifting equipment.
After use, switch off the magnet immediately. For extended storage periods, the precision sine tables with electro
permanent magnetic chuck/electromagnetic chuck must be protected against corrosion with the appropriate means.
Particular attention must be paid to gap corrosion from storage and gauge block supports!
4 TRANSPORT AND STORAGE
Risk of crushing!
There is a risk of limbs being crushed by the precision sine tables tipping
over or falling during loading, unloading and installations.
Persons may only be present outside of the hazard area. Do not stand
under suspended loads!
The precision sine tables must be loaded and unloaded using suitable
transport equipment (e.g. pallet or support frame).
Secure the precision sine tables against falling or tipping over.
When lifting the precision sine tables, only use suitable and approved
lifting gear and slings which are designed for the weight of the precision
sine tables.
Always hold at the base plate when lifting!
Use the lifting threads with lifting lugs on the larger sine tables.
Do not use any magnetic lifting devices!
Always engage the transport lock when lifting!
Risk of crushing!
Sine tables without adjustment mechanism pose a risk of the top plate falling
down and causing crush injuries to hands.
Sine tables with adjustment mechanism poses a risk of jamming during the
adjustment motion.
On smaller devices, always hold on to the top plate securely during
adjustment.
On sine tables with adjustment mechanism, note the risk of jamming
during the adjustment motion. Proceed with particular caution during the
adjustment.
