Switching the Sander ON and OFF

1. To switch on the machine, push the locking piece on the ON/OFF switch
forward and push the ON/OFF switch.
2. To switch off the machine release the ON/OFF switch.
After switching off and before putting down the machine, allow the motor
come to a complete standstill!
Hold the machine firmly with your hand when using and whenever possi-
ble, move the machine in a steady motion parallel to the surface. By doing
so, you will avoid grooves or hollows on the surface. You can hold the
machine while operation on the handle and the gripping surface or on the
handle and the auxiliary handle.

Speed Adjusting Dial

With the speed adjusting dial (3) you can adjust the speed according to
application. Select the appropriate speed setting and make sure the sander
dees not become overloaded and stops running.
Turn the speed adjusting dial (3) steplessly to the desired setting to increase
or decrease the speed. The adjusting dial can be ste steplessly in six speeds.
The speed rate can be changed during operation as well.
Hint: The required speed rate for cutting resp. sanding a workpiece depends
on the material that you are going to process. For best performance, make
some practical tests.

Sanding

Apply only moderate pressure on the machine. Excessive pressure will
overheat the machine.
Always use the auxiliary handle (4).
Always select abrasive paper with coarseness suited the condition of the
surface.
Use finer papers in the consecutive sanding until the desired smoothness
is reached.
