Audio board
Before removing the audio board, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer
on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4. Remove the following components:
a. Base enclosure (see
b. Battery (see
c. Speakers (see
Remove the audio board:
1. Disconnect the audio board cables from the computer (1) and the system board (2).
2. Remove the Phillips screw (3) that secures the audio board to the computer.
3. Remove the audio board (4).
Reverse this procedure to install the audio board.
