Before removing the trunk, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer
on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4. Remove the following components:
a. Base enclosure (see
b. Battery (see
c. Speakers (see
Remove the trunks:
1. Remove four Phillips screws (1) securing the left and right trunk.
2. Remove the two Phillips screws securing the trunk bottom (2).
3. Remove the trunk (3).
Reverse this procedure to install the trunk.
