Getting Started: Communication between a CPU 416-2 PCI and an S7-400
Proceed as follows if you want to configure STEP 7 for communication with WinAC
Slot on a remote computer.
1. Access the interface configuration tool in SIMATIC Manager on the Options
menu.
2. In the Access Point of the Application field, select S7ONLINE (STEP7).
In the case of MPI communication, select an MPI interface, e.g.,
-
CP5611(MPI).
In the case of PROFIBUS DP communication, select a PROFIBUS DP
-
interface, e.g., CP5611(PROFIBUS).
