CAUTION
PURPOSE
To adjust the AF sensor's output data.
AGC (Auto Gain Control): To be set so that the optimum AF waveform is always
Dark: The output waveform is to be recorded while there is no light, and it is
used for the correction.

PREPARATIONS
1) As shown in the figure below, place the camera (with the EF 50mm f/1.8 lens
attached) 2.5 m away from the AF Standard Chart (vertical 1). Use the video
light to illuminate the chart so that the chart's surface is about EV 12 (in the
Program mode, Tv=1/125 sec. and Av=f/5.6).
2) Start up the adjustment software and select [F3] AF Adjustment Menu on the
Main Menu.

DJUSTMENTS
It will take about 15 minutes to complete all of the basic AF adjustments. If
you want to stop before completing all the adjustments, press ESC to quit.
The basic AF adjustments will be written to the FPU IC's flash ROM.
Therefore, do not repeat the basic AF adjustments needlessly.
