3 Operation

3.1. Operation elements

Upper Display "Power/Temperature/Time"
"---" Initial state "ready"
"P000 to P100" Heating power in % (10% steps), or
In tilted position after casting display
shows a timer in seconds.
Casting pressure, displayed
"0.50 to 2.00"
after pressing "+" and "-"
simultaneously.
The factory-provided pressure is
2.00 bars.
"Exxx" Error code
Buttons "+" und "-"
- To set the heating power in %
- To set the casting pressure (press
"+" and "-" simultaneously, set value
with "+" or "-" between 0.50–2.00
bars) for parameter setting
I f "+" and "-" is not further pressed,

the display changes back to
"ready".

The upper display shows the "Power/Temperature/Time"
target values.
The lower display 'Pressure' shows the current pressure
values and switches to timer mode (seconds).
Button „Start"
1x press Heating on and evacuation of
casting chamber
Repeated press Change between full vacuum
and reduced vacuum (please see
respective recommendations of
the alloy producer). This function is
activatable only after reaching the
target vacuum level.
Button "Stop"
Running program will be aborted,
1x press
generator off, the vacuum in the
casting chamber will be released
to ambient pressure.
Lower Display "Pressure"
Shows the actual pressure (absolute) inside the casting
chamber "-0.10 to -1.00" vacuum
"xxxx" If a vacuum of < -0.98 bars is
reached, the display switches to a
timer counting in seconds. The
maximum possible vacuum is
achieved after approx. 30 seconds.
"0.00" Ambient pressure
"0.00 to 2.00" Overpressure
Service Connection (RS232)
Connection for service/diagnostics at the backside of the
machine
