6.1.1 Boil dry detection
The PCB in the appliance runs a boil-dry detection check.

Illuminates for 20 seconds

Note
Never operate the appliance while boil-dry detection is
in progress.
During the first heat-up, a maximum temperature of 90 °C
is reached. This will take around 15 minutes.
The LED flashes when heat-up is completed.

f Carry out the calibration.

6.1.2 Calibration for maximum temperature capture
CAUTION Burns
During calibration, hot water is discharged from the tap.
Water and steam are expelled for approx. 2 minutes.
f Position the pivoting spout over the kitchen sink.

f Carry out the calibration process required for capturing the
f
maximum temperature.

f Turn the temperature selector on the appliance to each of the

specified settings within 10 seconds.
Cancelling the action:

Note
During calibration, never draw off any water, otherwise
the controller will not capture the maximum temperature.
In order to interrupt the calibration, isolate the appliance
from the mains (isolator/MCB or pull the mains plug).
For safety reasons, you will not be able to carry out a
second calibration immediately after the first attempt.
First initiate a RESET.

Note
Let the water in the appliance cool down before attempt-
ing a RESET.
f Open the hot water draw-off valve for around 2 min-

utes.
With a RESET, the maximum temperature is reset to the factory
setting of 90 °C.

f Check the function of the appliance and the kitchen tap.

The entire contents of the appliance must be heated once.

f Explain the functioning of the appliance and kitchen tap to

the user. Show the user how to operate the appliance.
f Make users aware of potential dangers, especially the risk of
f
scalding.
f Hand over these instructions and, if applicable, the instruc-
f
tions for any accessories.

Shutting down
f Isolate the appliance from the power supply by means of
f
the fuse/MCB in your fuse box or by pulling the plug of the
power cable.
f Drain the appliance; see chapter "Maintenance".
