Use of the external current transformer makes it possible to measure higher residual currents
in the system.
Example:
Type B 5SV870 is a 450/1 current transformer. In this case, the minimum measurable residual
current in the system is limited by the 5S870 current transformer and is 30 mA. The
maximum measurable residual current in the system is determined by the 5S870 current
transformer. It is 1 A.
Note
The current transformer types shown in the drawings are examples. These can be replaced by
other suitable transformers.
If the device is used in the UL market, the use of transformers with UL approval is required.

A suitable current transformer must be used to measure the N-conductor current. The
appropriate current transformer ratio must be set on the SENTRON 7KM PAC measuring
device or powerconfig.
