8. TROUBLESHOOTING

The safety information from section 2 "Safety" must be observed.

Magnetic chuck is not switching
Switching mechanism defective. Send the magnetic chuck to SAV GmbH for repair.
Workpiece not adhering to the magnetic chuck
Holding force of the workpiece too low, e.g. due to high-alloy workpieces. Note the information
in section 3.1 "Holding forces".
8 TROUBLESHOOTING
Hazard from malfunction!
Incorrect assembly of the magnetic chuck can cause a malfunction of
the machine.
This can cause crushing and jamming points, posing a risk of crushing
for limbs.
Objects can be ejected, causing serious injuries and even death.
Have troubleshooting carried out only be qualified personnel.
The magnetic chuck must always be securely attached to the work
surface of the machine tool. Check after assembly!
Re-attach safety devices correctly.
Risk of crushing!
There is a risk of crushing limbs from tipping over or falling of the magnets
due to incorrect installation and removal of the magnetic chuck.
Secure the magnetic chucks against falling or tipping over.
When lifting the magnetic chucks, only use suitable and approved lifting
gear and slings which are designed for the weight of the magnetic
chucks.
Have troubleshooting carried out only be qualified personnel.
