5. ASSEMBLY

DANGER!
DANGER!
The magnetic chucks are fastened with clamps on the face sides.
For chucking contoured parts or for attaching permanent stops, the pole plate can be equipped with appropriate
recessed areas. It has to be ensured in these cases that the plate remains watertight and that the magnets on the
inside are not damaged by excessive milling or drilling. In case of doubt, please consult the manufacturer.
To achieve the highest possible accuracy, we recommend grinding the magnetic chucks on the machine where it
will be used, using the following procedure:
1. Grind the underside to obtain a reference surface with the magnet plate deactivated.
2. Secure the magnetic chucks against shifting using steel blocks.
3. Turn over the magnetic plate and attach it to the machine table.
4. Leave the magnetic chuck switched on for 30 to 45 minutes at normal coolant temperature with the workpiece
in place, so the magnetic chuck can stabilise. Pre-machine workpieces if applicable.
5. Always grind the pole plate of the magnet while magnetised to achieve a perfectly level pole plate under normal
conditions.

5 ASSEMBLY
Risk of crushing!
There is a risk of crushing limbs from tipping over, falling or loss of stability
of the magnets during assembly of the magnetic chucks.
The magnetic chucks must be placed on a level, stable surface.
The magnetic chucks must be attached using the holes, the threads or
the recessed areas on the machine tool.
During assembly, the magnetic chucks must be secured against falling
or tipping over.
Risk of crushing!
Incorrect assembly of the magnetic chuck can cause a malfunction of the
machine and cause crushing and jamming points. This creates a crushing
hazard for limbs.
Check the mechanical installation after assembly.
Keep a sufficient distance to surrounding objects.
Install any add-on parts in such a way that no crushing or jamming
points are created with surrounding objects.
NOTE!
The pole plate can be equipped with bores for attaching locking pins or
machined areas. Through-holes are not possible. Always consult the
manufacturer before machining any areas. Incorrectly machined areas
can destroy the magnet.
